There’s nothing scarier than having nothing to do for Halloween! Eerily enough I’ve got list of spooktacular events for everyone starting this weekend!

PEANUTS™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express

Kicking off this weekend and running through the last weekend of October 2017, the Peanuts gang will be at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA. Family-friendly activities at the Pumpkin Patch include a kid’s concert, pumpkin decorating, hayrides, bounce house, face painting, vintage trolley rides and more. Each child may also select their very own pumpkin to take home! Children and adults are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for the trip!” Perris is about 2 hours from LA so be sure to pre-purchase your timed tickets at http://www.oerm.org/peanuts/.

Fall Festival at The Americana at Brand

Taking place this Sunday October 15th from Noon-4 PM,the green at the Americana will be transformed into a fall festival with pumpkin decorating, live music, face painting, custom Sprinkles Cupcakes designing, and more! Tickets are $15 at the door or $10 online.

23rd Annual Pumpkin Festival at Kidspace Children’s Museum

This FREE family-friendly event will be hosted in Brookside Park, directly in front of Kidspace Children’s Museum this Saturday, October 14th and Sunday October 15th from 9:30 AM-5 PM. Expect a petting zoo, bouncers, carnival games, crafts, and performances.

Montrose Halloween Trick-or-treat Spectacular

Taking place October 31st from 5:00-8:00 PM, the Montrose Shopping Park along Honolulu Avenue in the Montrose area of Glendale will be handing out candy to costumed kiddos. A great place to take your littlest ones for some safe trick-or-treating while the sun is still out.

SANRIO at Tanaka Farms

Head to Tanaka Farms in Irvine, CA Saturday, October 28th where from from 11:00 AM-12:00PM Hello Kitty and her friends will be judging a costume contest for a chance to win prizes like Sanrio-stocked gift baskets. Admission is $3, with optional add-ons such as a wagon ride and petting zoo access during the all-day Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Festival.

Decade-themed Costume Party 

If you just can’t wait till the end of October to party then Sassafras Saloon in Hollywood has got you covered. Beginning at 5 PM on Friday October 20th they will be having a Decade-themed Costume Party where dressing up from your favorite era gets you a free drink! Live bands and DJs will be playing the best of each era all night long.

Rocky Horror Drag Show 

Next on the list comes the Rocky Horror Drag Show Thursday, October 26th at 9:00pm at the Highland Park BowlMake the bowling lanes your catwalk during the interactive walk-off costume competition. Don’t think you have it in you? A few sips of their new Moonchild cocktail made with Old Forester Bourbon, Laird’s 100 proof Brandy, apple-basil balsamic shrub, ginger syrup, and bitters will have you tapping it out like Christina Ricci. Goulish Dinner & Halloween Monster’s Ball 

Nothing says Halloween like blue earlobes and black chicken! October 26th-27th and October 29th -31st, Chef Louis Tikaram of E.P. & L.P., in West Hollywood will be preparing a hauntingly delicious ginger-poached black-skinned breed of poultry with pickled cucumber, scallions, chili and garlic. The dish will be available each night except Saturday October 28th during the Halloween Monster’s Ball when from 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM the multi-level E.P. Restaurant and L.P. Rooftop. will be set up with an open bar, passed appetizers, and DJ appearances. Tickets are required for entry ($65 and up) and are available here.

Disney Villain Costume Party

Have you been waiting for the opportunity to dress like your favorite Disney villain? Well Saturday October 28th at 8 PM at North Hollywood’s Idle Hour is your time to shine. Top finalists will be chosen by 11:30 PM with prizes handed out at the stroke of midnight.

The Neverlands

Taking place Saturday October 28th from 8 PM – 3AM, The Neverlands is being described as an immersive haunted forest experience featuring live and dead entertainment. Grand and fantastic costumes are encouraged at this event at Clifton’s Republic in DTLA. Sip on a Lost Camper cocktail featuring Apricot and Chinese 5 Spice Blackstrap Rum, Lime, Ginger Beer, Mint, and Rosemary, then set aflame with a dusting of Cinnamon while you wander the 4 floors of Clifton’s legendary establishment. 

Not too scared to eat? Executive Chef Andrew Pastore has created a list of specialty food items like Pumpkin Ravioli with Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Meatballs or a Night of The Living Dead Rib Roast with Astro Zombies Parsnip Puree.

Dog Costume Contest

Don’t be disappointed if you weren’t the number 1 Disney Villain on Saturday night, because on Monday October 30th from 6:30 PM-7:30 PM your four-legged friend can bring home the gold! Taking place at Idle Hour in North Hollywood guests can purchase a ballot from the bar to cast their votes for the best costumed dog with ALL proceeds going to the East Valley Animal Shelter. Winners will receive a gift card and a doggy Halloween treat bag.
