Where to get lucky St. Patrick’s Day 2017

Casey’s Irish Pub (DTLA)

It’s best to start this list with the earliest place to get spirited, Casey’s Irish Pub in Downtown Los Angeles. Doors open at 6 AM tomorrow to ensure you’re good and drunk before the St. Patrick’s Day Festival kicks off at 11 AM. Admission to the festival is FREE before 3:30 PM but unfortunately no kiddos are allowed.

The Raymond 1886 (Pasadena)

For a more traditional St. Patrick’s Day head to The Raymond 1886 in Pasadena for dishes like Marinated Young Lamb with pepperoni roasted Brussels sprouts and horseradish-Pecorino mashed potatoes or a Salmon Creek Pork Belly with pickled and roasted cipollini, fried apple puree, fennel, and Korean chimichurri. The specialty cocktail of the day will be The Tipperary made with Tyrconnell Irish whiskey, Green Chartreuse and Carpano Antica.

The restaurant will be open as usual for lunch and dinner with the 1886 Bar remaining open until 2:00 AM. Stop in between 4 and 7 PM for Happy Hour!

Hyperion Public (Silver Lake & Studio City)

It doesn’t get more authentic then an Irish Executive Chef! Stop in anytime from 11 AM-11 PM to enjoy Chef Paddy Aubrey’s HP19 made with corned beef, Swiss cheese, spicy Russian dressing, bacon coleslaw, on toasted rye bread or a Chicken Boxty, Irish potato pancake with a chicken mushroom cream sauce. Cocktail specials include a Guinness and Jameson Irish Whiskey Combo for only $10. Happy Hour kicks off at 4 PM and runs until 6 PM in Studio City and 7 PM in Silverlake.

Plan Check Kitchen + Bar (Sawtelle, Fairfax, Downtown, Santa Monica)

Lastly for a really nice green juice, stop in to Plan Check Kitchen + Bar for a Right on Brine crafted with Gin, cucumbers, Chartreause, lime, and pickle juice ($13).  Happy runs from 11:30 AM-7 PM in the DTLA location, and with a little luck of the Irish this will fall under their $8 daily cocktail discount list.
