Last minute Mother’s Day Reservations!

This Sunday May 14th 2017 is Mother’s Day and you forgot! Don’t worry my dears, I’ve got some great choices for you that are still taking reservations and are so thoughtful that she’ll think you booked it a month ago!

Take her to Barney’s for a splurge and then follow it up with a trip upstairs to Freds Beverly Hills. Have you seen their patio??!! They are open from 11 AM-6 PM and offer a full menu of light done right favorites like Freds Chopped Chicken Salad made with bibb lettuce, avocado, onions, tomatoes, string beans and pears, tossed with a Dijon mustard balsamic dressing ($26).

Make it truly a Beverly Hills salad and top it with Mark’s no-fat mustard dressing instead.

All the Jazz

Second only to homemade by YOU, Woodland Hills Italian newcomer Tuccio’s promises only the best that the farmer’s markets have to offer served up by Chef Gavin Humes (Inn of the Seventh Ray, Cliff’s Edge).

For Mother’s Day each mom will receive a complimentary mimosa or mocktail before indulging in a three-course brunch ($45). Menu standouts include Crispy Squash Blossoms with Ricotta Cheese to start, Crab Cake Benedict showcasing beautiful blue crab, topped with poached eggs and an Old Bay Hollandaise sauce as a main, and then finishing it all off with Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. Best of all you can enjoy live jazz music from 11 AM-3PM that should inspire you to stay long enough to order a second drink like a House-Made Bloody Mary with pickles that rotate week to week (all made in house).

Punch Drunk Mother’s Day Brunch

Start the meal off with a complimentary mimosa before diving into a Citizen’s Cup Punch Bowl made with house blended Pimms, Seasonal Fruit, Ginger, Cucumber, Mint, and Sparkling Lemonade (39/78) at Citizen in Beverly Hills. To soak up all that punch I recommend the Southern Decadence for 2 featuring fried chicken, biscuits, brioche french toast, ham, red eye mayo, and grits ($44). Brunch runs from 11 AM-3PM but hurry, tables are going fast!

Arty Mama

For the mom who still cherishes those homemade macaroni necklaces, take her out to Brunch at Ray’s & Stark Bar followed by an afternoon at LACMA. The regular brunch menu will be available from 10 AM-3PM along with some specials items such as the Smoked Salmon Benedict with Caviar Hollandaise ($25) and the Nature or Nurture Cocktail crafted with rosemary infused gin and blended house made strawberry lemonade ($12).
