Last Minute Thanksgiving Plans, Reserve now!

Ok so you’ve waited until the last minute and now it’s 2 days before Thanksgiving!! Here are a few spots where you can still get reservations that are worth it. Seating only guaranteed until the end of this article!

Spring

Celebrated this year as the #6 restaurant on Jonathan Gold’s list of the best 101, Spring from Michelin starred Executive Chef Tony Esnault is serving up a three- course feast that is pure Americana. Highlights include a Butternut Squash Soup with spiced honey squash, pumpkin seeds, sage and served with crostini to start. Entree options range from the traditional Roasted Mary’s Free-Range Turkey with Gravy,  to a Pan Seared Branzino with capers and Meunièr if turkey’s not your thing. Haricot Vert, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce accompany each entree and for dessert there’s Old-Fashioned Pecan Pie with bourbon caramel sauce or Pumpkin Pie served with spiced Tahitian vanilla chantilly.

The prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu is being served from 11 AM-4 PM and is $65 per person including one beverage of choice

The Mar Vista

Thanksgiving is anything but ordinary at The Mar Vista. Curated by chef’s D. Brandon Walker, Jill Davie, and Jorge Rivas; the three-course menu features fresh takes on holiday favorites such as wild rice pistachio turkey roulade with a smoky cranberry chipotle gastrique and a pumpkin pie topped with marshmallow and a spiced horchata ice cream.

The prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu is being served at 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM and is only $45 a person.

Need some fast food in a flash? The MV Grab & Go’s offerings include a limited amount of pumpkin and pecan pies ($30) as well as their festive grazing boards which range in price from $45 to $75 each. Pre-order NOW by calling 424.228.4679.

Clifton’s Republic

No reservations needed for this DTLA legendary venue. And it’s all you can eat!

Delight in fall favorites from Executive Chef Andrew Pastore like Herb Roasted Honey Glazed Turkey and classic trimmings like mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, roasted vegetables, mac n’ cheese, and more.

Just looking for a taste of Thanksgiving? Go with their special value menu for $12 featuring either Turkey or Chicken Pot Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and a Soft Drink

The prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu is being served from 11 AM to 9 PM and is $55 per person.

Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse

The Traditional Turkey Dinner from Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse in DTLA begins with a complimentary Chef’s amuse bouche before moving on to a Diestel Farms Turkey, with chestnut stuffing, a JBS potato purée (a specialty of Patina founder Joachim Splichal), candied butternut squash, and a pickled cranberry compote. Be sure to compliment that with a spiced hot toddy cocktail ($14) and a Pumpkin Crème Brûlée with Pépita tuile, orange gel, and allspice Chantilly ($10).

The prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu is being served from 3 PM to 9 PM and is $49 per person.

Patina

This may be the priciest recommendation on my list, but it’s actually $20 less than the usual prix-fixe pricing found on non-holidays and includes a complimentary amuse bouche. Guests may choose from either the three or four course menu at Patina with menu highlights like the Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef with Salsify, chanterelles and pommes mousseline and a Selection of “Haute Couture” Sturia Caviar served with Buckwheat blinis and traditional condiments.

The prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu is being served from 2 PM to 7 PM and is $75 for the three-course and $85 for the four-course. There is also a kids menu available for $36.
