Whether you want to say I love you to a significant other, or just share some love with yourself, the LA restaurant scene is bursting with meals you are sure to fall in love with!

Here are few unique events designed to impress your sweetie plus some made for lovers who’d rather stay in this Sunday February 14th.

Nothing Says I love you Like a Hotel Room Key

Surprise your love with dinner and a hotel stay at these two popular Beverly Hills spots.

Vamping it up at Viviane

I love a good theme meal so imagine my giddiness when Chef Michael Hung revealed that all weekend their brunch menu would pay homage to Marilyn Monroe, the most famous resident of The Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills where Viviane restaurant resides. Brunch specials include The Marlon Brando, a Nuoc Cham Marinated Pork Tenderloin with acorn squash braised in coconut and spice ($21); and The JFK, a Corned Shortrib Sandwich with savoy cabbage slaw, grain mustard aioli, and country bread ($18).

Evening diners will be treated to a three-course dinner ($72) with menu highlights such as a Caviar Amuse-BouchePan Roasted Delta Sturgeon with sautéed Bloomsdale spinach, Meyer lemon potato fondue, and crayfish butter; and Rose Scented Pavlova with pomegranate crémeux, grapefruit marmalade, and toasted oats.

Devotedness through Dining Out

Although a dinner out on Valentine’s day might not be the most inventive choice, it’s certainly a fan favorite. Here are some spots that promise an unforgettable evening.

Bourgeois at Baltaire

Brentwood’s newest favorite steakhouse from Executive Chef Travis Strickland will be celebrating their first Valentine’s Day with a special four-course menu ($85 per person/additional wine pairing for $45) featuring menu highlights like Braised Beef Short Rib with parsnip-carrot puree, and horseradish cream; and the TCHO Chocolate Soufflé with bourbon chocolate sauce and Chantilly cream. In addition, guests can enjoy live music all weekend long while Champagne and caviar carts circle around you in the lounge and dining room.

Hot Haute Cuisine at Hinoki & The Bird

Normally closed Sundays, this year Executive Chef Brandon Kida will be opening the nest for all the lovebirds out there with a Valentine’s Day dinner from 5pm to 9pm. Dinner highlights will include Beef Tartare with pickled jalapeno and parmesan ($15); Kabocha Squash Toast with burrata cheese and butterscotch miso ($14); and Hinoki Scented Black Cod with dashi and shishito ($28) . Menu highlights include a 5-Spiced Duck Terrine with rose water, beet mostarda and warm oatmeal bread; Maine Lobster Risotto with buttered leeks, marinated mussels and crispy shallot; and Sticky Toffee Pudding with black date cake, rye whiskey toffee sauce, apples and fermented caraway ice cream.

Seeing Stars at Estrella

The newest restaurant venture from Executive Chef Dakota Weiss is celebrating its first Valentine’s Day with a tremendous partnership with LXV Wine. Guests will be treated to a four-course dinner ($65) with an optional wine pairing ($35). I should mention that the LXV’s wines are inspired by the 64 arts of the Kamasutra…so a wine pairing on this evening is most encouraged 🙂 Menu highlights include Foie Gras & Truffle Mozzarella Toast with charred shishito pepper, sunchokes and haystack potatoes; and Cinnamon Sticky Toffee Pudding with ginger-orange gelato & pecan praline.
