The Sweet and Savory Life at WP24

Wolfgang Puck is busy making pastries for the Oscars, so he’s left WP24 Restaurant and Lounge in the capable hands of the new pastry Chef–Michel Aguilar!

Before completely entering a sugar coma I sampled an array of savory items prepared by Chef John Lechleidner and available in the Lounge of the restaurant. Each dish that came out quickly became my favorite so it all depends if you enjoy the taste of the land or the sea.

Now on to the meat of the meal…DESSERT!

A lovely amuse bouche:  Lemon grass pressed Tapioca with strawberries that made me feel like I was a judge on The Taste!

The Miso Butterscotch Dessert was the tastiest little donut-hole with a side of cider sorbet in a portion that still left room for more!

My favorite dessert of the night was by far the Liquid Caramel with buttermilk chocolate cake, and chocolate sorbet. The caramel is served like a cracker on top of melt in your mouth chocolate lava cake with an egg shaped serving of dark chocolate sorbet and is the perfect way to end a salty feast.

A close second to dessert is the delicious panorama view of Downtown LA available from every table at WP24 in The Ritz Carlton. Yes…this is why we live here 🙂
