2025 is a year that we need immigrant stories more than ever, and Chef Anthony Wang takes you on his own personal journey as a Chinese-American with this family-style prix fixe. Menu highlights include Pumpkin Congee and Char Siu Duck Leg Sausage. The cost is $110 per person.

The Tower Bar (West Hollywood)

Celebrate Christmas old Hollywood style with dinner at the Iconic Sunset Tower Hotel. The prix fixe menu is $185 for adults and $65 for children and includes classics such as Deviled Eggs à la Russe, Rack of Lamb, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. All you’re missing is Bing Crosby at the piano – although there is a high probability of live music.

The Cat & Fiddle (Hollywood)

If Mulled Wine is on your mind, you must head to The Cat & Fiddle for a traditional British Christmas. The 3-course menu will be available from Noon to 3 p.m. and includes highlights like Roasted Turkey with Chestnut Herb Stuffing and Beef Wellington. Each meal also comes with a Christmas Cracker. Pricing begins at $48. Mulled Wine and a Holiday French 75 are available to add on, beginning at $13.

Carbon Beach Club (Malibu)

Nearly a year after the devastating wildfires tore through the landscape of the L.A. coastline, Carbon Beach Club at Malibu Beach Inn is reopening to bring new perspective to your holiday.

Menu highlights from the three-course prix fixe include Scallops au Poivre and Grilled Hen of the Woods marinated mushrooms. The cost is $85 per person or $125 with Wine Pairing.

Tender Greens (Various)

Take your holiday to-go with a menu full of seasonal offerings that are good for solo diners as well as families. The Holiday Short Rib Plate includes a braised beef short rib with sweet potato mash and sautéed French green beans ($18.65 – $19.25). If you’re entertaining more than just yourself this year, consider upgrading to the Short Rib Holiday Meal, which feeds up to four guests and includes Bread and two Sides for $71.95. Ardor (The West Hollywood EDITION)

 Ardor by Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser will offer a special 5-course prix fixe menu, which includes a shared Milk Bread for the table and an Intermezzo Frozen Grapefruit Marshmallow before dessert. In between are veggie-centric dishes like Butternut Squash Bisque, Bass Crudo with plum ponzu, and Citrus Duck Breast with a kumquat marmalade.

When and How: Dinner is available on December 24th and 25th from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Reserve on OpenTable. The cost is $140 per person.

The Little Door (Mid-City)

Nestled in the busy streets of Los Angeles is this gem of a restaurant that has stood the test of time, having been open for more than 30 years! The Christmas Eve prix-fixe is $120 per person, and the highlights include Lobster Bisque, Grilled Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast, and a Gingerbread Crème Brûlée, among other dishes.

When and How: The feast is available on the evening of December 24th. Make your reservations on Tock beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The Little Door

City Cruises (The Pacific Ocean)

Santa sails the high seas thanks to City Cruises. This meal is anything but ordinary, with experiences like Christmas Eve and Day Premier Dinner Cruises with Santa. The festivities include a Buffet, Bottomless Mimosas, Live Entertainment, and a visit from the man of the hour. Boats take off from Newport Beach, Long Beach, and Marina del Rey.

Boxwood (The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills)

It’s a trip across the pond at Boxwood with a special 3-course featuring Roasted Free-Range Turkey with chestnut stuffing, Roasted Beef Wellington, and New England Lobster Risotto. Dessert options include Eggnog Brûlée and Bûche de Noël. Toast to a Happy Christmas with a Peppermint Espresso Martini or Wine Pairing ($45).

Genghis Cohen (Fairfax)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Genghis Cohen, the L.A. institution for NYC-style Chinese food with an ’80s vibe. The restaurant is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will be serving their greatest hits in a festive party atmosphere. Expect the Hebrew School Mai Tais to be free-flowing.

Beachside Bar & Grill (Marina del Rey)

Enjoy a truly Los Angeles Christmas on the waterfront at the Beachside Restaurant & Bar at Jamaica Bay Inn. The Christmas Day prix fixe includes a Tomato Bisque, Prime Rib, and a Bûche De Noël for dessert, among other choices, for $78 per person.

Bianca (Culver City)

If you crave a touch of Europe, enjoy something from the hands of Federico Fernandez and Gianni Vietina. The bakery will craft its Signature Panettone and Rosca de Reyes for the season.

If you’d like a little pre-Christmas celebration, consider the Holiday High Tea on the 21st of December. The cost is $85 for adults and $40 per child.

. by Chef Suzanne Goin is doing things à la carte with all the dishes you love alongside seasonal specials like the A.O.C. Egg Nog. The restaurant will be decking its halls with wreaths over fireplaces, and guests can expect a visit from Dickensian carolers. It’s sure to be a cozy Christmas night.

No Christmas in Los Angeles would be complete without some Tamales, and Tocaya is bringing back their Sweet Corn Tamales especially for 2025. You can also pair that with Red Pozole, made with shredded chicken tinga and chile in a savory broth.

Fuego (Hotel Maya Long Beach)

Begin your Bayside three-course with Wild Mushroom Soup or Persimmon Salad before choosing between Local White Seabass, Herb-Crusted Prime Rib, or Herb Gnocchi. Desserts include a Yule Log Cake or Coconut Snowball

If you can’t host Christmas in your casa, then it might as well be Casa Del Mar.

Both Brunch and Dinner are decadent, with Wagyu Carpaccio during the day and Maine Scallops at night. Each is a three-course with a Dessert Table finish.

When and How: The holiday menu is priced at $125 and can be reserved for Brunch or Dinner.

The Maybourne (Beverly Hills)

Enjoy Christmas Day in the most opulent way when you choose to brunch at The Terrace at The Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills. Everything is à la carte this year with Christmas Eve specials like Roasted John Dory ($48), Brunch dishes including Wagyu Beef Carpaccio ($38), and Christmas Dinner delights like the SRF Rib Eye ($62) and Buche de Noel ($20). My favorite part of this meal is the access to Beverly Gardens, which is lit up like a winter wonderland.

When and How: The restaurant will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Reserve on their website.


Tito’s Tacos (Culver City)

The only thing better than a Tito’s Taco is a Tito’s Tamale! Turns out the beloved 1959 Mexican restaurant also does made-from-scratch Tamales. Enjoy flavors like Cilantro Grilled Chicken with Anaheim green chiles or Veggie Tamales in homemade masa husks. Best of all, they deliver, and you can order by the single or the dozen. They are priced at about $8 apiece.


When and How: Order directly from their website before Christmas Eve, as they close for the holiday.

Queen’s Raw Bar & Grill (Eagle Rock)

Enjoy a traditional Christmas Eve meal for as many nights as there are dishes. The Feast of the Seven Fishes raw bar platter features dishes like Scallop Crudo with pine nut gremolata and Shrimp cocktail with arrabiata sauce.

Redbird (DTLA)

It’s truly a holy night with Chef Neal Fraser in a former Cardinal’s house. This year offers a 3-course prix fixe Christmas Eve dinner with optional wine pairing, including highlights like Grass Fed Beef Tartare, a Creekstone Prime Sirloin, and a Valrhona Chocolate Entremet for dessert.

When and How: Make your reservations here for Christmas Eve. The cost is $135 per person, and the optional wine pairing is $75. There is also a special Children’s Menu available for $35 with food they actually want to eat.


Gelson’s (Various)

Gelson’s offers everything from a Spiral Glazed Ham Dinner ($60+) to a Dozen Tamales ($40) to help you create a truly memorable holiday feast. Sides include Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread Stuffing, and Creamed Corn, among many others. Desserts are Pies and Spiral Churros.

When and How: Reserve on the website by December 22nd to pick up from December 21st to 24th.

Mambo’s Cafe (Glendale)

I’m all about the Cuban Christmas, and this is where I have made my own Noche Buena orders for a few years now. Mambo’s in Glendale has got classics like Lechon and Ropa Vieja, served with Rice, Beans, Platanos, and more. They’ve even got an extra-large Flan to feed the whole family.

When and How: Mambo’s is old school, just like tu Mama, so you have to pick up the phone and call. The number is 818-545-8613, and Christmas Eve pickup is available before a certain time.


The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Various)

There’s nothing better than a taste of the season before 6 a.m. Holiday flavors from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf include the Peppermint Mocha Cream Iced Latte, the Winter Dream Tea Latte, and a brand new Tiramisu Latte. While The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf might have the feel of a large chain, it is a SoCal brand with roots in the 1960s that still works with small-batch tea and coffee farms all over the world.

When and How: There is likely a shop near you. See the website for your closest pick-me-up and don’t delay on these seasonal sips, which usually disappear after January 1st.

And if you’re heading down south for the winter…

JRDN (San Diego)

JRDN restaurant in the TOWER23 hotel offers one of the hottest beachfront restaurants in town, and they’ve got a new chef to debut just in time for the holidays. The 3-course menu prepared by Executive Chef Gabriel Merino includes Yellowtail Crudo, Herb Crusted Tenderloin, and Dark Chocolate Mousse. The cost is $76 per person.

When and How: The 3-course will be served from 2 to 7 p.m. on December 25th. Reserve on OpenTable.
