Happy Valentine’s Day, Los Angeles! February 14th is just around the corner, and whether or not you’re tethered to another human on this Hallmark holiday, you should make it your business to say I love you for less, and save some money for the rest of your relationship.
Call me unromantic, but overpaying on a day to celebrate the purity of love is just plain heartless! Everything you’ll find here is $100 per person or less, with some being $100 total!

Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn (Beverly Hills)
The six-course Valentine’s tasting at Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn is two hours of decadence at $311.10 per person, but you can experience all the beauty at half the price. The one-hour lounge experience at the Monsieur Dior Lounge includes menu options such as the Chef’s signature Onion Tart, Oyster with Koji Cream, and the Yuzu Matcha Éclair, priced at less than $100 per person.

Queen’s Raw Bar (Highland Park)
Keep things low-key with some Champagne and East Coast Oysters at Queen’s Raw Bar & Grill. The restaurant will be offering $10 Martinis from noon to 6 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, along with some special menu additions. It’s love on the bayou.
The Price of Love: Choose wisely and load up on $10 Martinis, and it should be easy to keep things under the $100 budget. Reserve on Resy.

Super Peach (Westfield Century City)
Super Peach from Chef David Chang and the Momofuku Culinary team will be serving a special 4-course menu that is a reflection of Los Angeles. Think dishes like Chicken Wings with sweet-and-spicy and honey-garlic sauces, and a Savory Donut with curry. Third-course options are slightly more formal, with entrées such as Filet Mignon and Lobster Noodles with chili. Dessert is either Burnt Cheesecake or Chocolate Cake.

Telefèric Barcelona (Brentwood, Long Beach)
Bring the romantic spirit of Barcelona to your table with a prix fixe at Telefèric Barcelona. Begin with a 38-month-cured Jamón Ibérico de Bellota and Squid Ink Croquetas, enjoy Lobster Paella as an entrée, and finish with a dessert platter featuring Basque Shortbread and a Raspberry Heart, among others. Pasta Sisters (Culver City)
Let your love boil over at home while crafting a meal from Pasta Sisters.
Their signature Handmade Heart-Shaped Ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and ricotta cheese is available for dine-in ($22.80) or as a Ravioli Pasta Kit To Go, which feeds two and includes edible flowers ($40).
The Price of Love: A night of pasta and wine for two costs less than $100. There are no reservations, but you can place an order online if you plan to enjoy these culinary creations at home. Those will be available beginning February 9th.

Mírate (Los Feliz)
Mírate has a dining room that was just made for romance, and their prix fixe for two is a great way to turn up the magic. Menu highlights include Pan de Pulque with piloncillo butter to start, Aguachile Negro de Camarón, half a Lobster with Bone Marrow Butter, and Tatemado Corn Puree as your main, and a rich Chocolate Cake to finish. Don’t sleep on the cocktails, which are ranked among the WORLD’s best!

El Capitan Theater (Hollywood)
What’s the most romantic Disney movie in the catalog? And when was the last time you went out to an animated film without the kids? Disney’s Lady and the Tramp is enjoying a run from February 12th to the 18th, but that’s not all. There’s also a Sweetheart Dinner and a Movie Package, which includes Dinner at the iconic Miceli’s Italian Restaurant along with a 7 p.m. show. Dates for this are February 12th, 13, and 15th, and reservations can be made by calling 1-800-DISNEY-6 (347-6396). The film The Princess and the Frog is also in the lineup, but I’m a boomer at heart, so my heart belongs to the classics.

Gladstones (Malibu)
Celebrate Valentine’s Day while gazing out at the Pacific Ocean with a four-course prix fixe from Gladstones.
Begin with a Half Dozen Oysters or Coastal Crab Cakes before sipping on a Lobster Bisque or Clam Chowder. The third course includes decadent options like Filet Mignon and Wild Mushroom Risotto before finishing with a Molten Chocolate Lava Cake.
The Cost of Love: The prix fixe is available on February 14th for $60 per person, and they don’t take reservations. That iconic California sunset is gratis.
A.O.C. (West 3rd)
If you’re feeling brunchy on Cupid’s day, aim your arrow at this three-course prix fixe.
Brunch begins with your choice of Mini Pastries or Smoked Fish for Two (depending on how much kissing you’re expecting). As a main, one of your many options includes the famed Spanish Fried Chicken and Hanger Steak Frites. Dessert offers another duo: either Pavlova or an Artisanal Cheese Plate, for you and your love.

Yama Sushi Marketplace (Little Tokyo)
Yama Sushi Marketplace is a Japanese grocery store that feels like an insider secret. The Sushi is well-priced, you can have Freshly Cut Sashimi from a cut of your choice, and they’ve got impossible to find, specially curated snacks and drinks from across the world.
For Valentine’s Day, they’ve created two different Sushi Trays that will have both your heart and wallet skipping a beat. The Heart-Shaped Sushi Box ($24.95) features a sashimi rose bloom with an ikura center, surrounded by assorted nigiris and rolls. The Rose Gold Sushi Box ($29.95) offers a selection of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail that are fashioned into rose blooms. You can also add an adorable card that says just how you feel.

The Price of Love: Yama Sushi Marketplace will have the Rose Gold Sushi Box ready by February 5th and the Heart-Shaped Sushi Box available on February 12th. The cost is less than $30, so you can spring for a bottle of Narumi Craft Sake to go with it.

Juniper Lounge (1 Hotel West Hollywood)
If your soul is longing for live music and ambiance, then Juniper Lounge has everything you need for the perfect night out.
The Signature Tasting Experience includes 3 courses of delicacies, such as Gnocchi with truffle butter, Baja Steelhead Trout with parsnip puree, and a Chocolate Cheesecake with chocolate streusel, among others.
The Price of Love: The Tasting Experience is $99 per person and is available from 7 to 10 p.m. on February 14th. Reserve here. The lounge is both inside and outdoors.

Vincenzo’s Pizza of NoHo (North Hollywood)
Eat your heart out when you order this special Heart-Shaped Pizza from Vincenzo’s Pizza of Noho. The small size measures 14″ and is made for two people to share. Complete the meal with a Chocolate Vin-Yay, which are beignets with powdered sugar and a Nutella drizzle ($6).

KA’TEEN (Hollywood)
Saying I love you for less means saying yes to a well-priced prix fixe—or the option to order from the regular menu. KA’TEEN’s Valentine’s dinner from Chef Wes Avila features specialty dishes such as a Corn Soup with Caviar and Cream to start, Carne Asada with roasted leeks, and a Strawberries and Mousse to finish. A night in this Tulum-chic restaurant also comes with a live house DJ to keep your love en fuego.

Does your beloved value your frugality? Then be prepared to blow them away this Valentine’s Day. Farmer Boys is offering a Sweetheart BOGO Deal on Saturday, February 14th, that gives you 50% off a second burger. Use the money you’re saving to throw in some diamonds…or a Milkshake.
