5 Cocktails to FALL in love with

While Los Angeles might not have seasons there’s no reason you can’t savor the taste of fall in a fancy glass. Here are my 5 favorite cocktails to fall in love with right now!

The Eye Opener from Faith & Flower ($15)

Aptly named, The Eye Opener is an expert mix of Buffalo Trace bourbon, Menotti’s Cold Brew, Averna, Stout reduction, nutmeg, & mint. My only critique is that it’s a almost too easy to drink, and at $15 you don’t want to throw this one back too quickly.

Maple Moscow Mule from Maple ($12)

The newest offering from Patina Restaurant Group, Maple at Descanso Gardens gives you just another reason to stop and smell the roses. The Maple Moscow Mule is a twist on the original made with vodka, lime juice, ginger beer, and a special ingredient (hint: it rhymes with staple).

The restaurant is open exclusively on weekends for brunch and just in time for the holidays will be open for dinner from November 25th through January 8th. This nightly service is part of a combined experience with the “Enchanted: Forest of Light” exhibit, at Descanso Gardens and you must show your ticket to dine.

La Anticuado from Salazar ($14)

Definitely one of my top 10 bites of the year, the cherry dusted with ancho chili from La Anticuado cocktail still has me puckering up! This Mexican Old Fashioned is crafted with mezcal, whiskey, ancho chili, huitaloche (corn fungus), and Mexican fernet. To keep yourself from stumbling on the gravel outside this Frogtown hotspot make sure to order some Al Pastor Tacos to go with that heavenly cherry morsel. ($3.75).
