Smoke it up with dad this Father’s Day 2018…and I don’t just mean BBQ

Mom might be happy with any old brunch, but when it comes to dad the expectations are generally higher. Prepare to dazzle and delight for Father’s Day 201 with some of my most creative ideas yet!!classic_1950s_dad_eatdrinkla

Toke it up with some Tea

Give dad the gift of relaxation, sex drive, pain relief, or just plain old happiness with Kikoko brand Cannabis tea!

The company was created by Amanda Jones and Jennifer Chapin following the passing of a dear friend with cancer who could never quite crack the cannabis code to get the relief she deserved. Together they developed a brand of low-dose THC teas that use the different CBD oils necessary to tap into the parts of your brain to give you what is promised on the outside of the package. All without that nasty taste, smoke, or hangover that the man in your life might recall from days gone by.

Smoke it up with some ‘Que

Doesn’t dad deserve the best brisket in California? Well, I’ve got you covered with real Texas BBQ from the East to the West!

Start the day with brunch in Culver City at  Maple Block Meat Co. where you’ll find favorites like savory Brisket and Egg Sandwich ($10), Brisket Hash ($12); or something sweeter like French Toast Bread Pudding ($10). Lastly, wash it all down with Bottomless Mimosas ($15), or a Maple Block Cold Brew Coffee ($4.50).

Next, it’s off to the the Arts District in Downtown L.A., where Pearl’s BBQ is serving up a 16 hour Smoked Brisket ($10-$16) alongside Potato Salad, Texas Caviar, and Coleslaw ($5). End the meal with a slice of Apple or Pecan Pie; a recipe which have been in the Pearl’s BBQ family for over 5 generations! Now that’s what I call a legacy!

Kick it up with some Soccer

Take advantage of the World Cup starting the Thursday before Father’s Day 2018 and hook dad up with a place to watch his favorite team! The day begins on the West Coast with Costa Rica versus Serbia at 5 a.m.; Germany versus Mexico at 8 a.m.; and Brazil versus Switzerland at 11 a.m.

Early bird dad? Why not catch the Germany versus Mexico game at El Torito where they’ll be offering The Ultimate World Cup Breakfast Watch Party with $4 Draft Pints, $6 House Margaritas, and their delicious Brunch menu!
