All you need is just a Taste

It’s time to get outside and enjoy something tasty! The Taste of Downtown Glendale is back for its 16th year, and hot on its heels is The Masters of Taste in Pasadena returning for a second year run.

The Taste of Downtown Glendale

Taking place on Wednesday, April 26th from 5:30 PM-8:30 PM, The 2017 Taste of Downtown Glendale has stepped it up a notch from last year and is introducing a VIP area, presented by the Downtown Glendale Association, with additional food and drink vendors, access to early check-in, later ending time, and a gift basket drawing valued at more than $500.

Newcomers this year include Bacari GDL, Califia Farms, Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, Lemonade, Stella Rosa and Maddalena Wines, Sugarfina, The Halal Guys and Wild Oak Café.  You can also expect the return of the heavy hitters; Porto’s Bakery, Eden on Brand, Damon’s Steakhouse and more than 40 other restaurants and businesses. One of my favorite elements of this food festival is that you can check in at 4 different locations along 5 blocks of Brand blvd making for some great crowd control while still being the next best thing to eating at the restaurant.

VIP tickets are $75 and general admission for adults begins at $35 with alcohol being just an addition $10. Children from 6-9 cost $15, and my favorite mention of all kids under 5 are FREE!!! All proceeds go to benefit Glendale Healthy Kids and Glendale Arts so do yourself a favor and spring for the VIP!

Masters of Taste Pasadena

After you’ve digested the best of what the jewel city has to offer then it’s time to smell the roses at the 2ndAnnual Masters of Taste, on Sunday, May 7th, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pasadena Rose Bowl!

Expect to taste 40 Culinary Masters, including newbies like Bone Kettle and Miro; 30 Beverage Masters such as fan favorite Bootlegger’s Brewery, and a select group of Sweet Masters like Magpies Softserve and The Dirty Cookie.

100% of the proceeds from Masters of Taste 2017 will directly benefit Union Station Homeless Services which raised over $435,000 at last years event. This year they are shooting for $560,000.

VIP Tickets are all snagged up but general admission will be available until May 6th for $105 a person. Plus if you’re reading this you can get 15% off by entering the code EATLA at checkout!!

Also be sure to leave the kiddos home for this one, mom and dad need two hands to balance all those cocktails and canapés…plus it’s 21 and over :).
