Best Holiday Cocktails in Los Angeles

There’s nothing like a warm and toasty cocktail to get someone in the holiday spirit. Here are some of the best holiday cocktails in Los Angeles that are sure to have you singing carols in the streets!

Birds & Bees (DTLA)

This 1950s themed speakeasy bar is your hideaway from all the holiday chaos swirling around you outside. Bar Manager Jake Larowe keeps you on your toes with rotating $13 cocktail specials like the Christmas Palm Tree Eggnog made with cinnamon, nutmeg, Rye Whiskey, Mezcal, and vanilla bean; and the Honey Chicken Toddy flavored with rich chicken, Thai chili, mirepoix, and bourbon. Best of all each drink you sip will give $1 back to the Downtown Women’s Center.

Ocean Prime (Beverly Hills)

A little naughty but still very nice, the Salty Caramel holiday cocktail features Ketel One Vodka, Giffard Vanille De Madagascar, Bailey’s Irish Cream Salted Caramel Liqueur, Egg whites, and is finished with smoked sea salt ($15).

MiniBar (Hollywood)

Settle into a leatherback chair and embrace your inner Don Draper at MiniBar on Franklin avenue. The French Toast Flip featuring maple-infused rye whiskey, lemon juice, and a whole egg with rub port and bitters on top  can be both your breakfast and nightcap.

E.P. & L.P. Rooftop (West Hollywood)

Don’t let those chilly L.A. nights keep you away from brilliant L.A. views. With the help of the L.P. Rooftop ‘Winter Dome’, you can sip your Sexual Chocolate cocktail and watch as things really start to heat up.

Created by bartender Sergio Gonzalez, it’s a naughtier version of a Mexican hot chocolate made with spiced rum, coffee liqueur, amaro, cinnamon syrup, cacao powder, and torched marshmallows ($16).

E.P. & L.P. Sexual Chocolate

The Raymond 1886 (Pasadena)

Cocktails with ingredients that are cool as their names; this place is sure to make you crack a smile. This season stop in for a Hedgehog Eggnog, created by Peter Lloyd Jones, with elements like Demerara sugar, East India sherry, Jamaican rum, bourbon, whole egg, cream, and cinnamon.

Next on the list is a Netflix and Chill, created by Casey Levental. This mulled wine toddy is perfect for cuddling at home with, if you didn’t need to get dressed in order to order it 🙂 Ingredients include Glenfiddich 14yr Single Malt Scotch Whisky, homemade mulled wine with a torched proprietary winter spice blend, vanilla syrup, and an orange peel garnish.

Happy Hour is every Tuesday-Friday from 4 PM-7 PM although these specialty cocktails will have you thinking outside that menu :). They are $14 each and will be available for the rest of 2018.
