Follow your Heart Treasure Hunt (Downtown Carlsbad)

Head to Downtown Carlsbad from February 12th to the 14th where 50 Hand-Blown Glass Hearts from Barrio Glassworks will be scattered around the most popular and historic spots in Carlsbad Village. If you find one it’s yours to keep! Hours are 10 a..m. to 4 p.m. and more information can be found here.

Shuck your Heart Out (Carlsbad Aquafarm)

Take the oyster aphrodisiac one step further by shucking your own at the Carlsbad Aquafarm. After all, you don’t really know someone until you’ve seen how they handle an oyster knife. The Farm Tour and Tasting is just $30 a person and kids under 6 are free! Book your preferred time on their website; they are open 7 days a week.

Give of your Heart (Barrio Glassworks)

Barrio Glassworks will be holding a Heart of the Village Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 12th. There will also be a Valentine’s Day Pop-Up Market and Live Music.

Eat your Heart Out (Various)

A fancy night out is always a good idea, and these spots are celebrating all weekend long. For Valentine’s Day 2022 in Carlsbad, highlights include an $89 4-course prix-fixe at Bar Traza at the Omni La Costa featuring Local Strawberries, Surf & Turf, and Flourless Chocolate Cake. It’s available from the 11th to the 14th.

Next, at Ember & Rye at the Park Hyatt Aviara, you can enjoy a 4-course prix-fixe plus sides of the most decadent kind. Think Caviar topped Deviled Eggs and a Shortrib Wellington for two with Lobster Boudin. The special menu will be served all day on February 14th from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $160 per person.

Lastly, if you’re keeping it simple and close to home, recreate a coursed meal with a Family Meal from Urban Plates. Select entreés like Grass-fed Steak and Sustainable Salmon, both served with sides and bread for less than $60. The meal feeds 3-4 people and you can add on Desserts like a Mango Tart or Chocolate Vanilla Layer Cake by the slice or by the cake. Best of all you can order day of!
