What is Momofuku at Home?

Momofuku at Home is a collaboration with the online delivery service, Good Eggs, which together have crafted a collection of meal kits available only to California customers. Delivery is same-day and features locally-sourced products and seasonal produce from California farms. The meal kits will change monthly, and if you’ve never had the chance to enjoy Momofuku in person, this is the next best thing!

What you can expect from Momofuku at Home

The Momofuku at Home Collection includes several meal kits like Sheet-Pan Soy Marinated Steak ($59.99), Spicy Shrimp Noodles with Mizuna  ($49.99), and Weeknight Bo Ssäm Pulled Pork ($59.99) as well as Spices and Condiments ($11.99+).

The meal kits include all the ingredients, except butter and oil, and come with recipes and cook times. As someone who would rather be making reservations than recipes, I found it extremely easy to follow all of them. I also appreciated that clean-up was minimal. The meal kits feed three or more people, and almost every night, my family of four had leftovers.

I found the Spicy Shrimp Noodles with Mizuna to be the most challenging, but you know what you are in for when it says 45 minutes of prep time and cooking (it took me over an hour :)). My family loved the Weeknight Bo Ssäm Pulled Pork the best, and it was the easiest of the three kits to make – with only 20 minutes spent in the kitchen!

What is the Cost of Momofuku at Home?

To give you an idea, if you visit Momofuku Ssam Bar in New York City and order the Bo Ssam Pork, you’ll be paying 928 dollars after tip and tax for a dish that feeds eight people. Order the Weeknight Bo Ssam Pulled Pork from Good Eggs, and you’ll pay $59.99 for a dish that feeds at least three people. Suddenly sounds even more valuable, doesn’t it? The Sheet-Pan Soy Marinated Steak was my second favorite dish, and it also costs $59.99 and feeds at least three.

The Best Thing about Momofuku at Home

I love that the meals are easy to cook but don’t look easy to outsiders. It’s the perfect way to feed your family or host a fabulous dinner party. Plus, the kits are big enough to share and store well for a few days if it’s just you enjoying a Michelin-star meal on your own.

Order yours here, and leave a comment below on how it went. You’ll be cooking like Chef David Chang in no time!
