National Hamburger Day is May 28th, and it’s officially burger month! Even if you don’t eat meat, there are still some deliciously animal-friendly ways to celebrate the best thing between two buns. Check back with this post weekly as it’s updated hot and fresh as the news comes out.

Broken Shaker (DTLA)
May 15th is National Slider Day, and cocktail bar Broken Shaker is celebrating with a One-Night-Only Secret Menu that just might include FREE SLIDERS at your doorstep.
The secret menu slider for May 15th is the Steak Torta, made with Smash Kitchen’s Spicy Mayo, sirloin steak, queso fresco, refried beans, sliced steak, avocado, and tomato, and served on King’s Hawaiian sweet slider buns. Hours are Noon to 7 p.m.
If you’re interested in the FREE Sliders, you can enter the giveaway on Smash Kitchen’s Instagram

Habit Burger & Grill (Various)
Habit Burger & Grill will be offering a BOGO DEAL to get TWO CHARBURGERS for the price of one from May 26th to June 1st, 2025. Be sure to sign up for their app or use the website to access the deal under the “My Offers” tab. The code to enter is 2CHARS.
Burgers Never Say Die (Silverlake)
Always on my list, Burgers Never Say Die makes some of the best Smashburgers in Los Angeles. While technically made with a nice cheese patty on top, The Regular, with ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions, is just as good without the cheese, too. ($11.99).
Golden Hour (DTLA)
In honor of National Burger Day, Golden Hour in the Level 8 space will be collaborating with Maison Kasai to serve up their Signature Burger all week long on their insane rooftop lounge. The cost is $19, and it will be available from May 28th to June 1st. Make your reservations here.

Burgerlords (Chinatown, Highland Park)
Burgerlords has gone through a lot of changes over the years, including being 100% vegan at one point, but they’ve now found a happy medium with a focus on Organic Items made with Regenerative Grass-Fed Beef that are not cooked in seed oils. Their Classic Burger is something you can truly feel good about eating.

Burger King (Various)
While this deal isn’t about the burgers, it’s something the whole family will love all month long. Beginning Monday, May 12th, you can get a FREE Soft Serve Mini Cone for up to THREE KIDS with any purchase at your local participating California Burger King! This offer is for a limited time, so don’t wait until National Burger Day to enjoy a taste of summer.
Also in burger news, if you’re a Royal Perks member, you can celebrate National Hamburger Day all week long from May 22nd to May 28th if you spend at least $1! Deals include a Free Cheeseburger on 5/22, Free Whopper Jr. on 5/23, Free Frozen Fanta Strawberry on 5/24, and, of course, a Free Hamburger on 5/28. To see the rest of the perks, just sign in to your app.
The Win-dow (Grove/Hollywood/Long Beach/Venice/Silverlake)
The Win-dow is another “smashingly good place” for Classic Smashburgers and fries and they have locations in every corner of L.A County. Be sure to get the UNDER $5 Cheeseburger ($7.50 for a Double) or a Beauty Burger if you don’t eat meat ($8.50).

For the Win (Hollywood/Glendale/DTLA/Whittier/Montebello/Etc.)
