The Most Deliciously Entertaining Games on CulinarySchools.Org

What is CulinarySchools.Org?

CulinarySchools.Org is a website that offers over 150 online games to teach kids about the wonderful world of working and interacting with food. They also provide a database for adults looking to begin their career in the culinary arts. I experienced the site firsthand when they approached me about trying it out, and it’s probably my 6-year-old’s favorite project I’ve ever worked on. I hope you enjoy this review of the most deliciously entertaining games on CulinarySchools.org. as much as I enjoyed researching it.

Where to Begin

With over 150 games, you’ll need to narrow down your choices. The top portion of CulinarySchools.Org categorizes your game choices like Cooking and Kitchen Work; Farming; Arcade Classic Games; and more. Next, each game will have a description that also includes suggested ages. Adults are also welcome to play, and don’t be too hard on yourself if your kid is zipping past you.

Favorite Games

You’ll have to do some trial and error to find your favorites, but for us, it was Coffee Shop which is the surprisingly addictive game of opening your own Coffee Shop and having to go through the daily “grind” of managing inventory, creating the perfect recipe, and even taking weather into account when it comes to customers. Before I knew it, we were on Day 10, still working on cracking the code for the perfect day of sale.s

My son became slightly obsessed with Dennis and Gnasher Defend the Den, where you fight against “zompeas” to defend the den and earn coins to purchase more defense mechanisms like pea blasters. Each level gives you a new challenge and more defense mechanisms to beat even more zompeas.

Meanwhile, I couldn’t get enough of Super Spice Dash where you are a rolling chicken nugget scoring points by picking up “golden crumbs” and jumping for chiles. I thought the premise was hilarious, and after I started playing, I couldn’t stop. My son didn’t get my love for the game, but I think it’s because he couldn’t quite master the cursor keys, which my decades of experience with an older generation of gameplay made me perfect for.

Overall Thoughts

I love that none of the games have any advertisements the way other free games do – especially apps. Sitting in front of a computer versus crowding around an iPhone screen also made it so much more enjoyable (although the games are mobile-friendly as well).

Most of all, I loved bonding with my son in a way that collaborated our two passions: mine for food and his for gaming.

Parents, I hope you enjoy the educational and deliciously entertaining games on CulinarySchools.Org.
