While the brand’s heart is in NYC, the idea came to Tom Leigh while chatting with someone at an L.A. farmers’ market about their shared love of popcorn and how it was the perfect canvas for food creativity.

What are the Flavors?
Tommy Popcorn has 5 tent-pole flavors, and he is always cooking up more! As of 2026, you can enjoy Mallow Magic, Sweet Cinnamon, Iconic Caramel, Empire State, and Golden Irish. The new limited-edition flavor is Berry Hot, which melds the flavors of caramel popcorn with raspberries and Habanero pepper. Stay tuned for details on how to taste it for yourself.
Mallow Magic features caramel popcorn with cereal marshmallow bits, and it’s as sweet as it sounds. It’s meant to evoke the feeling of childhood, and was no doubt my kids’ favorite flavor. Sweet Cinnamon offers the same caramel base, but is dusted with cinnamon and mixed with cinnamon square cereal pieces. Iconic Caramel is the golden standard of caramel popcorn because it’s made with real buttery caramel, in small batches, with just a touch of sea salt.
On the savory side, there’s Empire State, which tastes like a New York City pizza over caramel, and Golden Irish, which uses real Irish Whiskey (cereal and malt distillates) to get that perfect taste.

My Favorite Tommy Popcorn Flavors
After a strenuous taste test of the six flavors above, my hands-down favorites are Sweet Cinnamon, Iconic Caramel, and Mallow Magic in that order.
The ones I’d bring to an Oscar Party, though, would be Golden Irish and Berry Hot to spice things up!
Overall, you’re gonna wanna mix them all, going between savory and sweet, and it’s going to be hard to stop snacking. That’s why I really love the 1 oz bags.
