thumbs up Michelin Man

Girl & The Goat (DTLA)

One of the Michelin-mentioned spots is Girl & The Goat, which joined the Dine LA directory for 2023 with a $65 dinner deal. It comes with six dishes to be shared at the table, like Pork Belly Noodles and Smoked Chicken Thigh, and then individual choices for dessert. What’s special about this meal is that it includes dishes not offered on the regular menu. If your wallet allows, consider adding on the Confit Goat Belly ($33), which, as the name suggests, is a signature.

Lou’ Mar (Beverly Hills)

Also new and recently opened is Lou’Mar at Nerano in Beverly Hills, which is a Korean-Venezuelan fusion concept. They are offering a three-course menu for $65 with items like Arepas Borracha to begin, Charred Octopus or Soy Glazed Lamb Chops as a main, and sweets like Snow White’s Apple or Melting Cotton Candy to finish. Best of all, you’ll receive a BOGO Drink offer to use at Nerano after your meal.

Brooklyn Avenue Pizza Co. (Boyle Heights)

Brooklyn Avenue Pizza Co. has a special for both lunch and dinner that will save you a lot no matter which way you go. Lunch is $25 and includes their signature O.G. or Mole Pizza plus a three-piece Wings in lemon pepper, mole, or buffalo, and then Papas which are house fries or parmesan. Dinner is fairly similar but offers a few more main item choices and also includes a Chocolate Budino ($35).

While you might be thinking, this isn’t exactly fine dine LA dining, it’s a great deal for a super filling lunch or dinner.

Lawry’s dine LA (Beverly Hills)

Lawry’s The Prime Rib becomes Lawry’s dine LA with a $69 dinner deal that includes Lobster – and not as a supplement. The meal begins with the famed Original Spinning Bowl Salad before moving on to a 4 oz broiled Lobster Tail. The main course is their specialty California Cut Roasted Prime Ribs of Beef served with Mashed Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, and Creamed Spinach or Corn.

This deal is worth it if you love a good surf and turf. If not, you’ll do better ordering from the regular menu.

Sichuan Impression (Alhambra)

Michelin Bib-Gourmand Sichuan Impression is offering a 4-course menu for $69 total, but it’s large enough to feed three to four people. Also included is one serving of Draft Beer, Two bowls of Rice, and an Impressive Ice Jelly dessert. Dishes available include Steamed Pork Ribs, Impressive Dumplings, Stir Fry Beef with Scallions, and Boiled Fish with Rattan Pepper – among many others.

This is available for both lunch and dinner.

Connie & Ted’s (West Hollywood)

The dine LA lunch special at Connie & Ted’s is always one of my favorites because it’s a sweet three-course deal for $25 where you get to enjoy some of their best dishes. This restaurant is also among the Michelin recommended.

Choose between a Wicked Good Chowda or Mixed Green Salad to start before moving on to a Hook Burger or a Deep Fried Batter Dip Cod Sandwich. Dessert is a Seasonal Cookie – and these are very good!

A Lobster Roll is also available for a supplement of $18, which might seem steep, but it’s actually half off the original price.
