Where to go for Mardi Gras in L.A. for 2026
Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, takes place on February 17th this year, but the fun starts as early as Valentine’s Day! Here’s where to go for Mardi Gras in L.A. for 2026 – and I’m not talking about Louisiana :).
The Original Farmers Market (West 3rd)
The Original Farmers Market is back with their annual Mardi Gras! Events include a Mutti Gras Pet Parade and Live Music from groups like the Brass Brothers Show Band. You’ll also find crafts for kids, like Tambourine Making. Lastly, the Food Feasting will include unique dishes from The Gumbo Pot, like a Beignet Tent on the patio, as well as Louisiana Beer favorites at EB’s Beer and Wine.
Where and When: The event takes place from February 14th to the 15th with the Pet Parade from Noon to 1 p.m. and the Food Feasting from Noon to 4 p.m.There will also be a celebration on March 17th. Harold and Belle’s (Jefferson Park)
Harold and Belle’s return as one of the top spots for Mardi Gras in L.A. You can expect live music, face painting and beads, and, of course, some spectacular food. Must-haves include Red Beans and Rice (Vegan also available) and Louisiana-style Catfish Nuggets. Lastly, enjoy a Crowns and Hops local beer or a signature Hurricane.
Where and When: Get all the details on their Instagram. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on February 17th at 2920 W. Jefferson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90018. There’s no cover before 1 p.m.

The Obscure Distillery (DTLA Arts District)
Experiential drinking spot The Obscure Distillery is opening its doors on a night usually reserved only for members for the revelry of NOLA-inspired sips and snacks.
Guests can look forward to Live Music from Beaucoup Brass Band, Beads, and an exclusive one-night-only food and cocktail menu inspired by Louisiana flavors. Cocktails include the King Cake Highball, among others. Food offerings include house-made Beignets, Catfish, and Dirty Rice.
When and Where: Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased on SevenRooms. The Obscure Distillery is located at 1356 Palmetto Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m.

Harvelle’s (Santa Monica)
Celebrate Mardi Gras late into the night at Harvelle’s in Santa Monica. This blues spot has the sounds of NOLA with live music starting at 9:30 p.m., but doors open at 8, and guess what…cover is only $5.50 when you reserve online. There’s a 2 Drink Minimum.
Where and When: The party begins at 8 p.m. on February 17th. at 1432 4th Street in Santa Monica.
Little Dom’s (Los Feliz)
It’s a Multi-day Mardi Gras thanks to New Orleans-born co-owner and chef Brandon Boudet. This neighborhood Italian restaurant will feature the flavors of New Orleans, including Chicken & Andouille Gumbo, Roast Beef Po Boys, Crawfish Monica, and more! Sweet finishes include Bread Pudding with hard sauce, Beignets, and a slice of King Cake. If your slice happens to have a toy baby inside, you win a FREE SHOT! Oh, and good fortune for the WHOLE YEAR! Whole Cakes are also available on their website.

Flavors from Afar (Hollywood)
Combine music, memory, and brunch and you get Sounds From Afar – Mardi Gras and the Great Migration. The multiple Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded Flavors from Afar is hosting the event that’s inspired by the flavors and people of Mardi Gras. The event will feature special guests and live musicians. Tickets begin at $44.52.
