Where to go on National Hot Dog Day in Los Angeles

Are you wondering where to go on National Hot Dog Day in Los Angeles? Well, I’ve got your list right here of the top spots to get a deal and a dog on July 16th, 2025.

Dog Haus

Pasadena, California, is the birthplace of the Dog Haus franchise. It’s known for its all-natural, hormone-free Haus dogs served on Hawaiian rolls with funky sauce drizzles and toppings. This is definitely where to go on National Hot Dog Day, as their rewards app will get you a FREE dog just for being a member! No purchase necessary.

Don’t worry if you miss the 16th, because as long as you’re a Haus Rewards member, you can enjoy BOGO HAUS DOGS through the whole month beginning on July 17th.

Pink’s Hot Dogs (Hollywood)

Calling themselves “the little hot dog stand that could,” Pink’s Hot Dogs is a story of perseverance. Paul and Betty Pink started the business with a $50 loan from Betty’s mother and a pushcart. When the landlord raised the rent on the land, the couple got a loan from Bank of America and added a cover to the pushcart to make hamburgers. To make ends meet, they even started a second business selling flowers! With a bit of time, they built the stand that remains on Melrose and La Brea today—allowing for parking and outdoor seating. The couple passed the business on to their children in 1985, and it now has 13 locations worldwide, offering 40 different hot dog combinations.

Menu favorites include a 12-inch Jalapeño Dog with tomatoes, chili, guacamole, grilled onions, and lettuce and the Brando Hot Dog, which is 9 inches of dog with mustard, onions, chili, and shredded cheddar cheese.

For National Hot Dog Day, Pink’s is offering its famed Chili Cheese Dog for FREE to the first 250 guests. The next 250 guests have to pay; however, 100% of the proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Now that’s tasty.

Wienerschnitzel

Wienerschnitzel, the world’s largest hot dog chain, is celebrating National Hot Dog Day in a big way. While they always have coupons, for this holiday, you can enjoy 4 Chili Dogs for just $4 without having to clip anything. They chose the Chili Dog because it’s the most popular item on their menu. If you’ve ever had one, you’ll know it’s not crazy to want to eat four at once. Just use the judgment-free drive-thru 🙂

Dirt Dog (Downey, Long Beach, Gardena, Commerce)

This L.A. franchise was born from a childhood of eating bacon-wrapped hot dogs on the DTLA street food scene. Timothy Cam’s mother playfully called them “dirt dogs,” and the name just stuck. While they aren’t doing anything specific for National Hot Dog Day, you can’t go wrong with a Patty Melt Dog from Dirt Dog. It’s wrapped in center-cut bacon and topped with fries, bacon bits, cheddar, and chipotle aioli.

Dodger Stadium (DTLA)

The classic Dodger Dog underwent a minor facelift a few years ago, which remains a sticking point for some fans. While the meat still comes from Vernon, California, Farmer John’s has been replaced by Papa Cantella’s as the producer. If you still want to keep it classic, be sure to order yours grilled over steamed.

While there isn’t a game on National Hot Dog Day, you can grab your tickets here for the Friday, July 17th matchup against the Brewers at 7:10 p.m.
