Where to Take your Dog out to Eat this Week

L.A. is a city where it’s more socially acceptable to take your dog out than your baby, so it’s only natural that restaurants have started catering to them in more ways than just a bowl of water on the floor. Here’s where to take your dog out to eat this week in Los Angeles if you really want to pamper your pooch.

The Godfrey Hotel (Hollywood)

The Godfrey Hotel is introducing the Bark & Brunch monthly series on the outdoor patio space of ALK restaurant. The first one begins Saturday, January 15, and includes complimentary “cocktails” and other treats for four-legged guests. Menu favorites include the Wag to the Left, (pictured below) with organic short rib bone broth, filtered water, and carrot diamonds, as well as the Bring Me Cesar Milan with organic chicken stock, filtered water, and beet hearts.

If you happen to walk on two legs, there’s a whole menu featuring healthy California fare like a Vegan Omelet with maitake mushrooms and Cardamom French Toast.

Hours for the Bark & Brunch are 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the third Saturday of every month.

Thee Elbow Room (Montrose)

Fetch Fido for Pups and Pints on the Patio at Thee Elbow Room where they can enjoy homemade Pumpkin Dog Treats while you’re sipping the suds. The space is located on the most charming street in Montrose, Honolulu Avenue, that’s perfect for treating your dog to a long walk after the brews will you peruse the shops. Menu highlights include a special recipe Deviled Eggs ($6), a House Cured Corned Beef Sandwich ($11), and rotating Daily Specials. Beers on tap include the 8One8, Common Space, Modern Times, and more.

They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. or later.

The Pub at Golden Road Brewery (Atwater Village)

Grab your pup for a pint of Wolf Pup Session IPA on the expansive outdoor patio at Golden Road Brewery. It features an area with artificial turf made especially for dogs to play around in. Dishes your dog will love a bite of too include the Santa Maria Tri-Tip Sandwich ($14.50) and a GRB Burger crafted with ground short rib and rib-eye patty on a brioche bun.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with a Happy Hour from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Panxa Cocina (Long Beach)

It’s always a good time to take your dog out to eat at Panxa Cocina, but my favorite time to visit is during brunch. The menu features Southwestern-style cuisine from Chef Arthur Gonzalez like Blue Corn Piñon Pancakes and Stacked Enchiladas that pair great with a Mimosa!

Next, as far as your puppy goes, they offer a special dog-friendly brunch that includes a choice of Sweet Potato ($5), Brown Rice ($5), Vegan Black Beans ($5), or All of the above for $10! Pups also receive Triple filtered Vero water free of charge!

Weekend brunch takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Dogs are also welcome during Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays.

Ashland Hill (Santa Monica)

Visit the patio of Ashland Hill during “yappy hour,” where the restaurant offers special pooch provisions that include a Beef Patty over Rice and Dog-Friendly Ice Cream. Humans can enjoy elevated pub-food like Beer- Battered Chicken and Waffles ($17) and Tacos Tacos Tacos with choices like Steak and Cauliflower ($16).

The Yappy Hour menu is always available, and dogs are forever welcome on the outdoor patio. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. on weekends.
