Next Tuesday marks National Rum Day (August 16th) and the city of Los Angeles is on fire with deals! Plus for those of you who enjoy blush over brown I’ve got my top 3 spots to enjoy Rosé All Day!
Rum all the Way
Both the Hyperion Public Silverlake and Studio City locations will be serving up rum favorites like the Hyperion Public Mai Tai made with white rum, dark rum, orgeat syrup, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine along with the classic Mojito. Best of all from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm you can enjoy a Happy Hour Dark & Stormy with layers of light rum, dark rum, ginger beer and lime for only $6.00.
“Before an attack who can say anything that gives you the momentary well-being that rum does?”
If the words above ring true with you then a Hemingway Daiquiri made with Selvarey Rum, Luxardo, Maraschino, grapefruit and lime from Spring in Downtown Los Angeles will be your port in the storm.
Sol Cocina Playa Vista
Enjoy a glass of liquid summer for National Rum Day at Sol Cocina Playa Vista. The Strawberry Basil Martini created by Beverage Director Colin Pflugradt blends together Cane Rum, fresh lime juice, muddled fresh strawberries and basil in such a way that you’ll have to remind yourself you aren’t poolside.
Rosé all Day
Beginning this Saturday, August 13, 2016, Terrinewill be unveiling a new brunch menu as well as the $20“Rosé All Day”!
Menu highlights include a breakfast-friendly version of the restaurant’s truffle butter burger while the Rosé All Day consists of a bottomless glass of Pichard & Jourdan Chinon Rosé.
Esters Wine Shop & Barin Santa Monica is usually a favorite for the Sunday wine tasting, but going on now until the end of summer wine fans can also enjoy Summer Rosé Saturdays. From 12-4 p.m., the shop will be offering a tasting flight of three rosés for $15 promising new selections each Saturday and a 10% discount on any bottle sampled that day.
Officially the best deal in the city, All’Acqua in Atwater Village offers a $5 special on Protocolo Rosado Rosé during brunch on Saturdays and Sundays…oh and did I mention that’s the per bottle price!! It’s quite the way to rosé the day away.
The Best of Both Worlds
If you can’t decide between rum and rosé then stop by The Raymond 1886 in Pasadena and get inspired by the romance of Paris with head mixologist Peter Lloyd Jones’ La Vie En Rose. The elements include Clément Canne Bleue Agricole Rhum, lime juice, Clément Canne Sirop, muddled pineapple and overripe strawberry, dehydrated rosé, and finished with a dehydrated rose on top. Other rum specials includea $6.00 Plantation 3 Star Daiquiri and a $14.00 Brazilian Fish & Yucca Chips Special.
