Westlake Village might not be the first place you think of escaping to for a vacation, but The Four Seasons in Westlake Village is a luxurious retreat destination that will satisfy both your healthy and decadent sides!
Here is my plan to get the most out of your stay in less than 24 hours.
Start by Checking in to your luxurious accommodations. My husband and I arrived after work around 5 PM and were welcomed to our one bedroom suite with a basket of healthy fruits and nuts. It was the perfect way to stave off the day’s hunger without raiding the mini bar!
Head down to The Bar. The lobby bar is simply called The Bar and offers daily happy hour until 7 as well as rotating weekly deals on menu items. I had the Lemon Ginger Martini and might have found a new favorite cocktail to replace my 2 month long jalapeno infusion obsession!
Enjoy an educational 14 course dinner. This past Friday night kicked off the “Friday Night Bites” cooking class in the Wellness Kitchen and I never expected learning could be so delicious!! Resident Nutritionist and Dietician Paulette Lambert and Rock Chef Alberto Vasquez go head to head creating healthy and not so healthy variations on the same dish. Guests in the kitchen then cast their vote based on taste buds and waist line. Top that off with endless wine and you’ve got yourself a great first date, or a wonderful 4000th in my case 🙂
Check out the “Pacific Market and Raw Bar”. If you can still move, feel free to check out the Pacific Market and Raw Bar Restaurant on Friday night, or the Italian Market on Saturday night! It’s the same restaurant space but with very different buffet style menu offerings which are designed to keep you so satisfied that you will never have to leave the hotel!
Rest up! Cozy up in a terry cloth robe under those Egyptian Cotton Sheets and just relax. Better yet take a warm bubble bath in your deep soaking tub before calling it a night.
Work out! This property is home to the extreme makeover weight loss edition wellness center after all, so get a work-out in and get rid of some of those calories.
Get Pampered! Ranked among the top spas in America by Conde Nast Traveler, this tranquil space is the perfect place to enjoy a 50 minute massage, steam, and Jacuzzi. If you’re daring enough ladies, cross over the red footbridge and take a peek at your partner in the men’s quiet space :). Not feeling so adventurous? Then hang out in the co-ed room together!
Poolside Lunch. Rent a cabana and enjoy a menu of healthy lunch offerings while staring a bronzed bodies by the pool. I also suggest a zen walk through the pagoda.
Get back to Reality. Although it pains me to say it, all good things must end, but who knew the vacation of your dreams was only 45 minutes from the city!
