Here’s Where to Go on National Tequila Day in Los Angeles
National Tequila Day is on July 24th, a Friday in 2026. In honor of the extra chance to indulge, I’m sharing some of the best cocktails for National Tequila Day in Los Angeles. Many of them are available at Happy Hour Pricing!
This roundup is sectioned off by neighborhood, so you can stay close to home and save on that Uber.
Beverly Hills
Dante Beverly Hills is home to a serious Daily Martini Hour Deal, but this rooftop restaurant perched atop the Maybourne Hotel is also pretty masterful with the agave spirits, with a whole section of the menu devoted to just agave-based drinks. Enjoy a sip of Spring 2026, made with tequila, Mancino Sakura, and orange blossom, or keep it petite with a “Mini” Maria, crafted with Codigo 1530, cold-pressed vegetables, fennel salt, and pickles (Pricing is $21 and $9, respectively).

Burbank
Castaway offers the most iconic views in Burbank, and for National Tequila Day, they’ve got a One in Melon cocktail to match. It’s made with Don Julio Blanco Tequila, lime, watermelon, a pinch of pink Himalayan salt, mint, and dehydrated lime. It’s available for just $9 during Golden Hour, which runs Monday to Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Downtown
Bar CDMX is one of the coolest underground bars in DTLA. It also happens to focus on agave and rum spirits. The dim lighting and loud Mexican rock music offer the perfect atmosphere for National Tequila Day. Visit during Daily Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for $8 Margaritas and $10 Tequila or Mezcal and Beer Combos.

Library Bar will highlight their literary Tequila Mockingbird, made with spicy serrano-infused Altos tequila, blackberry pink-peppercorn shrub, lime, and a Tajin rim ($17). Visit during Happy Hour from 3 to 7 p.m. and enjoy a Margarita with tequila, combier, and lime for just $12.

Glendale/Silverlake/Northridge/Sun Valley
Every weekday is National Tequila Day at Acapulco. Visit the cantina space from 3 to 7 p.m. to enjoy $5 Margaritas and Pueblo Viejo Tequila Shots. A Margarita flight of 3 Flavors is just $12. Sister properties El Torito and Chevy’s generally offer similar promotions at the same time, but for a few dollars less! $4 Signature Margaritas and just $10 for that flight.

One of my favorite places for tequila-based cocktails is Mírate in Silverlake, offering a nationally award-winning cocktail list from Beverage Director Max Reis and a newly debuted dinner menu from Chef Alan Sanz. Visit the 28th-best bar in North America to enjoy an array of inventive cocktails, including El Guero with aguachile, nopales granita, coconut, and avocado-washed Don Fulano Fuerte, and La Carinosa with strawberry, chamoy, tomato, and San Bartolo Espadin mezcal, which resembles a daiquiri.
Hollywood
Grab your cowboy boots and head to Desert 5 Spot for their weekly line dancing event on National Tequila Day. Their signature margarita is The Last Resort. The event begins at 7 p.m., and Desert Hour lasts until 8 p.m., when cocktails are just $9.
Also showing off some serious French Riviera rooftop vibes is Bar Lis. The Bardot is crafted with Altos Plata Tequila, watermelon, strawberry, agave, and lime. It’s available for $15 until 9 p.m. on Friday, July 24th. Music gets going by 10 p.m.

Mid-City
Michoacán-inspired restaurant Descanso has been reveling all throughout July, but the 24th is the extra añejo of the celebration. Visit from 5 to 7 p.m. for a National Tequila Day Tequila Walk along Tequila Row. It includes a look at their tequila partners who will be offering FREE tastings, plus a chance to do some agave potting and more. Reserve your spot here.

Santa Monica
Fast-casual Tocaya is a quick and healthy way to get your Tequila Day fix during your lunch break. Enjoy all-day-happy hour with prices like $6 for House Margaritas and $7.50 for their new Summer Shrimp Ceviche. Tocaya has locations from Santa Monica to Century City.

West Hollywood
It’s always a party at BOA Steakhouse, and they’ve got a cocktail like no other. The Ocean View is made with actual “salt air” along with Don Londres Blanco Tequila, Ace guava cider, lime, agave, and pineapple. They’ve also got a spirit-free Margarita in both Classic and Yuzu flavors. If you’re visiting during Happy Hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m., you can treat yourself to a $12 Boa Margarita made with tequila, fresh lime juice, agave, Tajín, and flaming orange.
Boa Steakhouse also has locations in Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach.

Is there a preferred tequila and margarita mix syrup you recommend?

I leave that to the experts Lucy but my favorite is no mix at all, when it’s just fruit juices.
