Tropical Tailgate (Freehand Hotel DTLA)

Head to Broken Shaker at the top of the Freehand Hotel if you care more about cocktails than quarterbacks. The Tropical Tailgate begins at 11 a.m. and includes a performance by DJ Short Shorts. The Super Bowl will be screened following the soiree. No RSVP is needed.

Where and When: The Freehand is at 416 W. 8th St., LA, CA 90014. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the Super Bowl to follow.

Viewing Party (Godfrey Hotel Hollywood)

See your favorite players 70 feet tall when you attend the viewing party on the I|O Rooftop. Gameday specials include Sesame Garlic Chicken Wings and Lamb Lollipops. The game will be projected on the wall of the courtyard.

Where and When: Get your table reservations here as General Admission is sold out. The Godfrey Hotel is at 1400 Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028. The event runs from 2:30 to 8 p.m.

Islands Restaurants (Various)

Stop by Islands Restaurants for a killer Turkey Burger and Happy Hour pricing that runs from 3 p.m. to close. The brand has recently “doubled down” on efforts to avoid growth hormones and additives so you can feel better about your Super Bowl dining for a change.

Although it’s technically an Anti-Valentine’s Day Brunch, you just might be broken-hearted after the big game. Stop by the Break Up Bar at Severance for some company and a Hawk’s Hair of the Hot Dog Bloody Mary, a collaboration between Farmer John’s Hot Dogs and bartender Saeed “Hawk” House.

Pick up some elevated eats with a Super Bowl Fried Chicken Dinner for four from Chef Suzanne Tracht. The dinner features Jidori Fried Chicken; Biscuits; Mashed Potatoes and Gravy; Slaw with Celery Seed; and Meyer Lemon Bars for dessert.
